Republicans in the North Carolina state Senate on Monday pushed through bill that would strip public benefits like food stamps and job training for people who fail a drug test.I have nothing nice to say so I will say nothing at all.
North Carolina will be costing the state money by doing this. Republicans in the state of Florida attempted the same thing and the federal courts said it was unlawful. This creates huge legal bills for the state, while trying to punish a handful of people. When will government stop arresting and punishing and condemning people’s behavior, and do constructive work like creating jobs, and tending to our infrastructure. It pisses me off.
Conservatism: cut prevention, increase risk, react AFTER a disaster has happened.
